How to Write About Past Experiences?
Writing about past experiences is one of the most powerful ways to share your story with others. It not only lets the world experience your life, but also makes you discover a lot of things about your past that were left unnoticed before. You can follow these two tips to write about your past experiences in an interesting manner.
Find Significance of a Past Memory
A person goes through tons of different experiences in their lives. However, they all might not be as important to all as they are to the person itself. This is the reason why you should always find some significance in past memory. When you are writing, it is your obligation to make the writing interesting for the reader. So, go back into your past. Think of all the interesting, happy, sad, or unique experiences that you have had. Now, select the one that taught you something important about life.
In order to choose the perfect experience to write about, you can evaluate the different perspectives you have about each one of them. Recent experiences would depict an impression of you that you really are at the moment.
You can write about your relationship with a person you have been close to. It could be anyone from your grandparent to your best friend. You can also write about an event that changed your life forever.
Organize It in A Chronological Order
One of the most obvious ways to tell a story is to write it in chronological order. You follow the natural pattern of the story. Write it exactly the way it happened. A chronological order first explains the least important details and events. It lets the story flow towards the climax and then reveals the actual meaning of it.
