The research process is something we undertake when we are trying to prove an argument of some type. This can be used to add additional evidence to something we feel is true or untrue. This works in both directions. Once you have something you would like to elevate or devalue you start to collect background information on it to better understand the process of it. You should always start with a draft and make sure to use resources.

Research Writing Worksheets:

Penguin Shared Research – Tell the story of Jack and Kelly the lovebirds.

Mr. President – Use your mind muscles on this one and be very creative.

Ocean Animal – Make up a story about a bee, a dolphin, or a squirrel. My vote is for squirrel.

How's the Weather? – Another partner activity that ask you to find a painting or photo online.

Bird Watching – Plan an outing over the phone with a friend.

Traveling the Globe – Send an off-line email of sorts to your friend.

Observing Plants – Work with a partner. Each partner chooses a favorite animal. Do research on your animal and write some details in the small boxes. Then, together, tell what will happen when your two animals meet.

State Study – Working with a partner, pick a country you would like to learn about. Find some facts about the country online, and write them on the slides for your PowerPoint.

Moon Observations – You and a partner are going to make and sell something. Decide what you would like to make. It could be necklaces, birdhouses, cookies, lemonade, or anything else you can think of!

Famous Landmarks – A blog is a personal website to record your thoughts, feelings, and events in your life.

Insect Study – Working with a partner, choose a holiday to write about. Why is it celebrated? What makes it special?

Wild Animal Study – Working with a partner, create a computer game. Choose a character and a type of game and then tell about your game.

Ancient Civilizations – Working with a partner, pretend you visited another planet. What did it look like? Were there any life forms on the planet? Describe what you saw.

Reptile Research – Working with a partner, pick a sport you would like to learn about. Find some facts about the sport online, and write them on the slides for your PowerPoint.

Planet Research – Working with a partner, think of someone you know who is a good role model for others. Describe the person in the first box.

Nature Study – Work with a partner. Choose a place you would like to visit. Make a postcard from that place.

How to Share the Research Process (When Writing a Paper)?


Conducting research is not a very easy task. It involves complex steps that lead to an authentic piece of writing. The final research paper is of great importance. It is published by your name which can add to your academic excellence. This is also the reason why you should be extremely careful while conducting research. It should be as authentic as possible. False information should be avoided as it damages your reputation and the authenticity of your research paper. Due to the complexities involved in conducting research, people also often form groups. They try to write collaborative papers to divide the load.


One of the most important steps involved in writing a research paper is the research process itself. The research process has immense significance because it involves collecting actual facts and figures for the paper. Hence, it should be done with utmost care. Only the most reliable sources should be approached. If you are writing a collaborative paper, then it is important to share the research process with your team. Each individual should be involved in collecting information for the paper. Here are a few steps that can be divided amongst the team members equally.


Using Databases


One person can work on finding the relevant databases. Databases contain tons of information on all sorts of topics.


Internet Resources


The web is the best place to search for information. A member of the team can use search engines to collect all the necessary information and facts for the research. There are tons of other articles on the internet that can help.


Evaluation


After information has been collected, it can be given to one person for evaluation. This step erases all the errors. This process also includes peer review.


Citations


Giving credits is extremely important. So, whatever information has been collected must also include references and citations. One member of the team can work on giving credits and citations.
