When we are working with works that include an opinion it is very important to base our premise on undisputable facts. When you are summing up your argument it is important to include several aspects. You should start by restating your original thesis statement in a paraphrased form. Follow that with fact-backed supporting ideas. Make sure not leave no questions unanswered with your final thought. These worksheets will help you through this process and help you to write solid conclusions.

How To Write a Conclusion Statement for an Opinion Piece?


An opinion essay contains several perspectives and claims of an author. Thus, concluding your opinion essay comes with great responsibility and it is the final touch up to convince and persuade your target readers. In order to do so, let's learn about conclusion and effective conclusion statements.


What is Conclusion?


The conclusion paragraph constitutes the last body paragraph of your entire opinion write-up. It is the ending paragraph in which an author restates his opinions summarizing different statements and words. This part of a write-up includes rounding and summarizing statements that wind up the entire essay rather than initiating a new discussion or introducing new ideas.


How to write Worthwhile Conclusion Statements?


Well-structured Statements- Ponder upon your entire opinion essay and question each claim. Now conclude your essay with effective concluding statements that answer each claim clearly and also satisfy your reader.


Topic Sentence- Construct the topic sentence statement of your essay which should summarize your thesis statements collectively of each paragraph. It simply indicates to the readers that you have successfully explained the claim of your opinion essay.


Explain the Thesis Statement- Never use your thesis statements the same way in the conclusion paragraph. Rather explain them in detail as concluding statements with a deeper understanding of the claims and proofs.


Refrain From introducing New Ideas- Even if the conclusion may raise a new discussion. Your concluding statement should be focused on summarizing all the important claims and opinions. Add supportive statements and proof to summarize your opinion essay and persuade your reader.


Summarize the entire write up- Your entire opinion essay should be summarized by explaining the deeper meaning of each paragraph's learning outcome as final concluding statements to convince your readers upon your opinion.
