What Are Common Themes of Stories?
Most stories follow a similar pattern of a theme. They revolve around different characters, but the main idea is the same.
Most stories share somewhat similar ideas with their characters, matching each other in traits in one way of the other. The purpose of most famous tales in all the languages of the world is to give a lesson to someone based on either someone’s real life experience that had happened a very long time ago or through some imaginary chains of events that lead someone to a specific conclusion, giving him or her a lesson of great importance.
While every story has its own nature and is enjoyed by the readers depending on how interesting or well-written it is, the themes a story delivers are never exclusively delivered by that single story only. Rather, a variety of common themes in the stories all around the world are shared by many stories. Some of the most common themes in stories are as follows:

Lord of the rings and chronicles of Narnia are examples of stories based on the theme of good vs. evil.
Valuing the Relationships
Many well-known stories in the world in various languages are all about the characters who either earn a lot of respect and contentment because of them giving due value to their friends and family or the characters who were completely at a loss of every good thing in life just because they did not value either their friends or family. The importance of loving and respecting parents is the most common idea under this theme.
Goodness of Heart
Most stories are all about how a kind, honest, humble, and righteous character wins everything in his or her life. Conversely, many stories make a morally corrupt person the main character of the story and show how he or she ends up completely losing everything at the end of the story.
Education and Financial Status
Many stories also lament over the lack of education and how one's financial status affects his or her life.
