Literary nonfiction is a genre of writing that basically tries to make the facts fun. Writers of this genre will often use a wide variety of technique to ensure that they improve their chances of engaging their readers. Often the work will center around a narrator who is part of the event or situation that is taking place. "Sophia's War" is a work that many students will read at this grade level. It is the story of the execution of Nathan Hale for his role in spying against the British in Colonial Times. These worksheets help students learn to breakdown and make sense of literary nonfiction.
